Hiro loves to play ball, or rather, balls!  He will put as many as two or three balls in his mouth at one time, and then race joyfully around the yard. Hiro is a 3 year old neutered male, black and white Pit Bull Terrier.  He was found as a stray on December 1, 2012 and was brought to the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter, where he eagerly waits for his forever home.

Van Gogh has been at the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter since November 4, 2012 - much too long!!  His days are numbered.  He is hoping that someone sees what a nice dog he is and give him a chance to prove it.

Van Gogh is a 4 year old neutered male, white and rust Staffordshire Bull Terrier.  He weighs approximately 63 pounds.  Van Gogh is a beautiful dog with incredible blue eyes.  He is a strong dog who pulls on leash so will need a strong handler, but he is a sweet and smart dog.  He is food-motivated and sits on command.  He loves being in the yard and having the chance to run around.  He runs with such exuberance that he looks like he is bouncing.  He is a happy boy!

Sadie is an amazing dog!  She is a 5 year old unaltered female, brown brindle and white Greyhound mix.  She weighs 58 pounds.  She was found as a stray and has been at the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter since February 4, 2013.

Bunny has an amazing face with ears like a bunny, which accounts for her name!  Bunny is a beautiful 1 year 5 month old, unaltered female, gray and white Stafford Bull Terrier.  She weighs 54 pounds. Bunny was found as a stray on December 30, 2012 and currently calls the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter her home.

This beautiful girl is named Sheba.  Sheba is an 8 year old spayed female tricolor German Shepherd dog who was surrendered to the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter on December 26, 2012.  She weighs 60 pounds.  She had been part of a family for 4 years.  She now finds herself alone and the world is a scary place.

If you want a dog who will make you smile, you want Hula.  If you want a dog to make you feel special, you want Hula!  Hula is a joy to be around.  She is an unaltered female, brown and black Labrador Retriever mix.  She is about 5 years old and weighs 51 pounds.  She was found as a stray and has been at the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter since January 1, 2013.

Once upon a time she was a Princess.  In 2010 when she was 2 years old, she was adopted from one of the city shelters.  She was elegant, beautiful, proud and in perfect health.  A new happy life would befit for her, but as with so many dogs, that did not happen.  We will never know the neglect, aping and suffering put upon this wonderful dog.  On January 25, 2013, she was brought toto the shelter by someone who claimed they found her wandering on Pico Blvd.  She had a microchip, but not one responded to the notification that she was at the shelter.  We will never know why and who inflicted such misery and cruelty upon this dog.

Cricket is just an ordinary brown dog with flat feet and elbows that look a little crooked.  You might not even look at her twice, but what a shame...because you would be missing a really great dog.  Cricket is an unaltered female, Staffordshire Terrier mixed breed dog, who is not very muscular, and weighs in a 41 pounds.  She was found as a stray on December 28, 2012 and was brought to the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter, where she now patiently waits for a new home.
