Cisco really thought that someone would come looking for him when he wandered away from home, but they never did!  He was found as a stray on April 10, 2013, and was brought to the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter where he patiently waits for that special someone…but his time is running out.

His owner didn't have time for him anymore.  Wooly was surrendered to the West Los Animal Shelter on June 25, 2013 where he now patiently waits for that special person who will see what a great dog he is.

Wooly is a 4 year old, unaltered male, gray Staffordshire Bull Terrier.  He weighs 82 pounds.  Wooly is a very loving dog.  He does not see himself as a large dog.  He loves to give kisses and is extremely affectionate.  He likes being touched and did not react to any part of his body being handled.

Amber has to be one of the most beautiful dogs you will ever see.  She is a 6 year old, unaltered female, black and red German Shepherd mix.  She weighs 41 pounds.  She has been at the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter since May 17, 2013.

Zelda is not particularly beautiful and, in her photograph, she looks very sad!  Someone should have left her ears alone, but they decided to crop them.  She didn't have any choice in the matter.  One of her favorite volunteers at the shelter said, "I should have named her Angel because she acts like one."

Zelda is a 5 year old, unaltered female, brown brindle and white American Staffordshire Terrier.  She weighs 48 pounds.  She has been at the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter since June 15, 2013.

Her name is Emma.  She must have had a family at one time, but I guess they didn't care enough to come looking for her.  When she was found as a stray on May 29, 2013, she was brought to the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter.  Emma is an 8 year old, spayed female, blue American Staffordshire Terrier.  She weighs 58 pounds.

Viva needs a chance!   Her days at the shelter are numbered.  She was found as a stray and brought to the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter on April 12, 2013.  Viva is a 2 year 4 month old, unaltered, brown and white Pit Bull Terrier.  She weighs 46 pounds.

Viva is described as a very sweet, loving dog.  She is energetic and gets very excited, but life in a cage can do that to a dog.  She knows Sit.  She is easy to get out of her  cage.  She is strong on-leash, however, is easily corrected.

In November 2012 Betsy's dreams of a forever home came to a crashing end when her family surrendered her to the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter because they were moving.  The weeks went by ever so slowly as she waited for her forever home.  On March 2, 2013, after 4 long months at the shelter, Betsy was adopted.  Her forever home at last, she thought…but little did she show.  On May 26, 2013, after 3 shorth months, she was again returned to the shelter and again the same excuse…her people were moving and Betsy was not wanted!

Tasha looks like she has a smile on her face.  Maybe that's because she really does!  Tasha is a 1 year 2 month old, unaltered female, black and white Pit Bull Terrier.  She weighs 41 pounds.  Tasha was found as a stray and has been at the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter since April 21, 2013.

Tasha is a silly, happy yound dog who loves life.  She is very friendly, polite and easy to handle.  She loves to be free and in the yard; she was a joy to watch as she ran around and around, almost on her side.  She is young and has not had much training, but she is eager to please and will learn quickly.

Sophis is a 3 year old, spayed female, brown brindle Dutch Shepherd and Welsh Corgi Cardigan mix.  She weighs 60 pounds.  Sophie has the appearance of a shepherd with a very short legs.  She is a joy to watch as she toddles around the yard with her tail held high.  She could stand to lose a few pounds, but she is a very beautiful, if somewhat unusual, dog in appearance. Her coat is lush and thick.

The picture doesn't do Bruno any justice.  He is a handsome boy whose ears have been cropped, but his face is endearing.  Bruno is a 6 year old, unaltered male, chocolate and white American Staffordshire Terrier mix.  he weighs 54 pounds.  Bruno has been in the shelter since march 6, 2013 and currently calls the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter his home.

If this face doesn't melt your heart, then nothing will!  If ever there were eyes that pleaded "please take me," these are the eyes.  This is Bobby, an unaltered male, brown Staffordshire Bull Terrier who is about 2 years 3 months old.  He weighs in at 63 pounds.

Bobby has been at the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter since February 27, 2013.  When he first arrived at the shelter, he was very scared.  This was a frightening environment for him to have to adjust to, but adjust he did.  He has gained confidence with the attention that he has received, and now actually smiles when approached by someone.

Thursday May 16, 2013 was not a good day for Charlie.  he sat leaning on his owner's led in the from office as the surrender paperwork was completed.  Little did he know what lay ahead for him.  His "forever" home would be no more and a cage at the shelter would now be his new home.  The owner had work conflicts and Charlie had to go.  It was a sad day for both Charlie and his owner.

Charlie is a 9 year old, neutered male, brown and white Labrador Retriever/Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix.  He weighs in at 77 pounds.  Charlie is a strong boy who pulls a little bit on-leash but is an extremely easy-going, gentle dog.  He is a little timid and submissive when he first meets someone but he warms up quickly.  He likes people and loves to be rubbed and petted.  He is a very friendly and affectionate dog.

Kaeiani has to be one of the most elegant dogs that you will ever see.  She is an 8 year old, spayed female, black German Shepherd.   She weighs over 65 pounds.  Kaelani was surrendered to the animal shelter on March 27, 2013, and is currently at the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter.  Her owner reported that she might have a seizure disorder, but no seizures have been observed during her almost 2 months at the shelter and she is not medication.

She was left at the door of the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter on March 8, 2013.  That's how much someone cared about this 7 month old Italian Greyhound mix puppy.  Roxie has been spayed.  She weighs about 13 pounds.

Roxie is an energetic, fun-loving pup who can be a little shy initially but arms up quickly.  She likes to be held and cuddled.  Roxie listens and will be very receptive to learning basic commands like Sit, Stay, etc.  She prances when she walks and does not react to the other dogs when walking through the kennel.  She has a good time in the yard and loves to run around.  She has been described as an awesome dog.  Roxie has been in the yard with other dogs and is eager to play as can be seen in the video below.  After running off some of her energy, she is ready to settle down for some cuddle time with her favorite person.
