Lovely “Lucy”

Lucy is a happy, silly, wiggly dog who loves life.  She is a 2 year old, spayed American Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer mix.  She weighs 49 pounds.  She has been at the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter since April 13, 2014.

Lucy is a sweet, energetic young dog.  She pulls a little on-leash but is easily corrected.  In the yard where she can run around and play fetch, she calms down very quickly.  She also calms down when her inappropriate behavior is ignored.  She sits and makes good eye contact.  She is very anxious to please her person. 

Lucy enjoys going into a crate and will sit in it by herself.  She is a very affectionate dog who likes nothing better than being brushed, unless it might be sitting next to her person on the bench. She loves getting treats and has a soft mouth.

The volunteers who have worked with Lucy have all commented on what a friendly, happy dog she is and how easily she can make you laugh with her antics.  She loves to lie down in a frog position with her legs stretched out.  She looks silly and she loves it!  See Lucy in action!
